Well everyone, we are going into 2012 in only a few hours. For some of us, it has flown by, for others; 2011 has dragged on. For me a little of both. I know that 2011 was by far not a good year for me, my Sailor & I had our way ups and our WAY downs this year, and luckily we ended it on a way WAY up this year, by getting engaged. I’m sure you all can agree that you & your man have had ups & downs this year. Like any couple, military couples go through them too.
Every year all women say to themselves “Okay [insert your name], your going to do [new years resolution of choice] and your going to like it and stick to it!!” Then a few weeks maybe even a month or two go by and usually we’ve either given up or just stopped whatever the resolution may be. My resolution for this year is to lose 10 lb. I am 5’5” and i fluctuate between my 130’s & 140’s regularly, this year I want to stay a solid 130 or mid 120’s. That is my personal goal. But I also want to set a goal for my fiancee & myself.(we want to tone our bodies this year together, he wants to become more buff *he already is very buff* and i want to tone my arms and stomach) Come up with a resolution you can both take part in! This will help your relationship stay strong and continue to have more good times than bad. Make it a goal to spend 10 extra minutes on the phone (if possible) or maybe even 10 less minutes (if you talk to him everyday), make it a goal to send him a care package every 2 months while he is deployed & he can take you on a nice trip when he gets back, make it a goal to loose weight together or bulk up? What ever you want to do, make sure you set a personal goal for yourself but also make a goal with him. It will be worth it :)
I hope everyone has a wonderful new year!
